Seoul Art Club is a concept of an experimental, ambient electronic music producer and live DJ. Targeted towards contemporary art appreciators and festival goers, Seoul Art Club’s surreal and atmospheric sound was aimed to be graphically mirrored in their new album release, ‘Lost Intangible’.
Born was a surreal scene created in 3D space, utilising a gothic styled archway in water to create a very abstract, yet scenic visual to match Seoul Art Club’s sound. This was applied to many different applications, including a Spotify canvas and a YouTube song visualiser loop.
The direct and neutral typography contrasts the chaotic and surrealist scene, accentuating the idea that the art (graphically and sonically) should speak for itself and allow the viewer to take in the creation without any preconceived notion or mood. The idea was to imprint a ‘wow’ factor onto a blank canvas, being the viewer and allowing Seoul Art Club’s music to visually stand out in the saturated landscape of the music industry. Having this visual identity applied to social media was aimed to engage and employ a ‘scroll stopping’ effect on the viewer in order to gain traction for Seoul Art Club.
